Gurgitate

If regurgitate means to cause to surge or rush back; vomit; to give back or repeat, especially something not fully understood or assimilated, does gurgitate mean to ingest; take in new information?

Teachers always told be not to regurgitate information they gave us.  So if someone told me some new information, could I say, "Let me gurgitate that for a second"?

I was just thinking about it...

The Power of Pure Awesomeness

I love a lot of music.  There is a ton of music out there that really moves me, but there is only musician that makes my soul want to explode out of my body.  I am listening to the great John Frusicante right now and I think I might die from over exposure to pure awesomeness...

Japan

After watching all the horrifying clips of the earthquake and tsunami, and hearing about the possibility of a nuclear disaster, I have been a little depressed thinking about the country that I spent over a third of my life in.  I wish I could go back and do something to help.  Anyway, I saw this little clip made my smile and gave me a little hope... keep praying.

Jimmer'd

This absolutely made my day.  The following is a letter in the Daily Universe from a BYU student that has taken Jimmermania a little too seriously:

Letter: Idol worship

I can’t walk across campus without hearing Jimmer Fredette’s name a dozen times. His name comes up everywhere: in class, at work, during lunch …  really, people? Cut it out with the Jimmer worship. Last time I checked, idol worship was very much frowned upon in the scriptures.
Don’t you have a life to live? Then quit wasting it in front of the TV or in lines at the Marriott Center.
At the very least, stop trying to convert those of us who don’t follow BYU sports and don’t care that baseball and badminton are two different things. Pushing basketball on us isn’t going to make us like it any better.
I’m not blaming Jimmer for all this; was it Nephi’s fault in the Book of Mormon when his brothers worshiped him? As far as I’m concerned, Jimmer is perfectly free to live his dreams. If he reaches his goals and lives his dreams, more power to him. I would like the same courtesy from his fans: let me live my own dreams in peace, even if they don’t include ever sitting in the Marriott Center screaming my brains out.

Not long after this was released on Monday, her Facebook page got Jimmer'd.  Check it out here.  I have spent over 40 minutes reading these responses, and I am dying.  ESPN, CBS sports, and other major sports news sites have gotten a hold of this.  This is good stuff, check it out.  And in honer of Jimmer:

Go JIMMER!!!
